Advisory & risk management

Advisory

Security concepts, process audits and risk assessment for forwarders and shippers — based on thousands of assessed loss cases.

Two starting points

Software spots anomalies in a single job. Where the same weak point keeps returning, the cause sits in the process — and that is where advisory work starts.

Field 01

Transport security

Security concepts and prevention against cargo theft and cargo fraud — derived from actual loss cases.

  • Weak-point analysis in dispatch and award
  • Security concepts
  • Emergency plans for suspected cases
  • Review of existing award rules

Field 02

Risk management

Structured assessment of suppliers and workflows, before the loss occurs. For forwarders, carriers and shippers.

  • Pre-transport risk assessment
  • Supplier and carrier evaluation
  • Process audits with a weak-point report
  • Building internal approval stages

Also as a one-off audit

How a collaboration runs

  1. First conversation. About an hour, free of charge and without obligation, usually online. We clarify where losses actually arise and whether advisory is the right lever.
  2. Stocktake. Review of award processes, documents in use and past loss cases. Typically one day on site.
  3. Weak-point report. Written assessment with prioritised measures — split into immediate, medium-term and structural.
  4. Implementation support. Optional: introducing the measures, training the teams involved, follow-up after a few months.

Typical occasions

  • A loss has occurred and the question is how it could have been prevented
  • The insurer asks for evidence of care in carrier selection
  • Subcontracting is growing faster than the check routine
  • A customer requires documented security standards in the supply chain
  • Dispatch works with inherited rules that nobody has in writing

Basis of the advisory work

The advisory work rests on our own survey practice: transport surveyor and average commissioner, management consulting for transport and logistics, specialist publications on transport risk, goods packaging and cargo securing.

For two decades the work has been assessing what actually went wrong. That experience decides what we look at first.

More about the background

A first conversation costs nothing and, in an hour, shows whether the work is worth it.
